The registration and licensing process can take up to one year to complete if you achieve passing scores on the exams. Estimated costs are $1890 (2013). If you require an exam rewrite or educational upgrading, cost and timeline will increase. See Process Overview for details.
You will complete a credential assessment for STEP 1 of the registration and licensing process. If your credential assessment determines that your registered dental assisting education does NOT meet the standard required for STEP 2: NDAEB Written Exam, you will require an educational upgrading program in Canada or USA. The Manitoba Dental Association (MDA) requires you to attend a registered dental assisting program that is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation of America (CODA).
