Becoming Registered and Licensed in ManitobaProcess Overview

The registration and licensing process can take over two years to complete.

Estimated minimum costs: $6,300 (2013).

STEP 1: NDEB EQUIVALENCY

Complete one of the following with the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB): 

  • The NDEB Equivalency process: Non-refundable application fee: $800 (2013)
  • Qualifying/Degree Completion Program: University of Winnipeg estimated tuition fees: $36,000 (2013)

Visit NDEB for a list of other institutions.

STEP 2: NDEB WRITTEN EXAM 

One-time only non-refundable application fee: $500 (2013)
Write the NDEB Written exam: $800 (2013)

STEP 3: NDEB OSCE EXAM 

Complete the NDEB OSCE exam: $900 (2013)

STEP 4: Important MDA Registration Information and Applications

Apply to become registered and licensed by MDA:

  • Complete a Certification in Resuscitation Program (CPR):
  • Complete a Jurisprudence and Ethics program
  • Gather required documents 
  • Complete the MDA Application for Registration and Licence form
  • Pay the Registration fee: $200 (2013)
  • Pay the Licence fee: $3,100 (2013)
