Becoming Registered and Licensed in Manitoba
Step 1: DSATP (Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program)

You must receive a certificate of completion from a DSATP to become eligible for STEP 3: NDSE (National Dental Specialty Examination).  

The DSAP is a university gap training program that is offered at two Canadian institutions:

1. University of Alberta  
Offers a DSATP in Orthodontics

2. University of Toronto
Offers DSATPs in:

  • Dental Public Health
  • Endodontics
  • Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology 
  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology
  • Orthodontics
  • Pediatric Dentistry
  • Periodontics
  • Prosthodontics
